Welcome to my blog! I’m Kerri Sheehan, a 22 year old aspiring broadcast journalist from a small town in Rhode Island. I graduated from Hofstra University in New York with honors and during my time there I learned a lot about television production. I have worked as a background extra in multiple film and television productions since I was 13. Unlike others, I did so not because of an interest in acting, but because of an interest in film and television production. My interest in journalism was sparked while I was in high school. During that time I was the Editor of my school’s newspaper and worked as a photographer for The Westerly Sun, a job I still hold whenever I’m back home. I served as a national media-production assistant during the second presidential debate, held at Hofstra University on Oct. 16, 2012. Production assistants assisted various media and news outlets with setup, technology requests, and student interviews. In the Fall of 2012 I interned at Stamptheband.com, an interactive music website for unsigned and independent artists. I did work for their online component, WAXWIRE Magazine, as well. From the spring of 2013 until the winter of that year, I interned at CupidsPulse.com, a celebrity entertainment and dating website. In that position I wrote celebrity trend posts, conducted author interviews, and wrote features about various celebrities. My current passions are Entertainment Journalism and Investigative Journalism.
