Welcome to my blog! I’m Kerri Sheehan, a 20 year old aspiring journalist from a small town in Rhode Island. Currently I’m a junior at Hofstra University in New York. My interest in journalism was sparked while I was in high school. During that time I was the Editor of my school’s newspaper and worked as a photographer for The Westerly Sun, a job I still hold whenever I’m back home. In the Fall of 2012 I interned at Stamptheband.com, an interactive music website for unsigned and independent artists. I did work for their online component, WAXWIRE Magazine, as well. I served as a national media-production assistant during the second presidential debate, held at Hofstra University on Oct. 16, 2012. Production assistants assisted various media and news outlets with setup, technology requests, student interviews and other requests. My current passions are Entertainment Journalism and Investigative Journalism.
